YOUTH FOR CHANGE YOUTH PANEL

#YOUTH4CHANGE YOUTH PANEL

Who are the Youth Panel?
The #Youth4Change youth panel will be a group of young people from Ghana. They will represent a variety of organisations including HACEP-Ghana, CAMFED, NORSAC (Young Female Parliamentarians), dance4life (Heart Connection Tour Team), Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), National Youth Authority (NYA), PAYDP Girls Network (PGN) and Curious Minds Ghana who are passionate about inspiring action on girls’ rights and ending Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Child and Early Forced Marriage (CEFM) within a generation.

What will the Youth Panel do?
#Youth4Change Conference on FGM and CEFM in Ghana will be an event organised by young people for young people. As the #Youth4Change youth panel, you will help plan the conference and reach out to hundreds of young people nationally through an online survey and asking them about the issues and how young people can help end FGM and CEFM. With this information, you will help create a ‘Ghana Youth Statement of Action’ to present at the Youth4Change Conference 2014 in December at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale. The conference is expected to bring together 500 participants comprising young people, community members, activists, traditional and faith leaders, government, national leaders, experts and champions committed to the rights and empowerment of girls and women.

As young people we can all inspire action
Thank you for supporting #Youth4Change, we are delighted that you are joining the global movement for girl’s rights and to end FGM and CEFM - We hope our youth conference will be the first of its kind in Ghana and around the world, and create a “ripple effect” where young advocates help kick-start a global youth movement on girls’ rights. #Youth4Change Youth Panel could be the start of your own personal campaign to end FGM and CEFM and improve lives for girls and women, both in your own communities and across the globe.
Half of the world’s people are under 25. We, as young people, can all inspire action.
